Wub Wub, time for something different.

You should try lifting this. When fully built? it would be impossible to lift. There's over 10kg in sound deadening, which is why I haven't finished it. That coupled with the 13kg woofer.

I've taken most of that home, and will do it on site. When finished I am going to have to wrap the whole thing in cardboard, then black cling wrap. Then call a removal company and pray for the best.

It's not even the weight really. It's the weight combined with the mass. I have carried heavier up my stairs plenty of times alone (like the glass hifi rack) but this is hard to hold. Especially when you have the onset of arthritis in your hands.

I didn't realise today was a bank holiday, so nothing came. So, I will go down later and invent a tool that can clean the port duct lol. From there I may repaint the inner edges that need doing. I can't move it for a few days because I need to let the final coat harden balls, but I can access the port properly from where it sits.

Well I worked for years as a cellarman so long as it's not over a 22gallon keg i'm generally fine :)

What often makes things harder to lift is size or lack of grab points, your not quite zimmer frame level yet your be fine alien :P

But like anything you invest time in once it's done your relived it is, think everyone is like that, the sanding it for hours on end is what would drive me crazy lol

Will repaint the bottom tomorrow, which will wrap it up.

BTW a 22 gallon keg weighs 55lb. Or 25kg. This will weigh more like 40. Kilos.

My small speakers weigh 30kg.

yea it's heavy but so long as your smart when lifting they aren't too bad, but there are 176 pints in a 22 gallon keg you mostly roll them unless you have to stack them sure didnt miss the 36 gallon ones when they got rid of them, all a long time ago now :)

Still soon your sub will be done then you can turn it up and see what it sounds like :D

Its exercise. Im actually lifting my 1000D once in a while just for the training :D I'll try some farmers walks next in prep for strongman 2022...
That comes in at 68kilos last time I checked :O

Motherboard alone is 10kilos hah.

I was looking at getting a 750D but getting one seems more hassle than it's worth so the fractal design define 7xl will be my future workout lol but not until i've moved at some time soon it's been on hold for 2 years now but progress lately :)

Waiting for the bios is driving me a little nuts i wanna tinker :D

Finished packing it earlier. Covered every face in cardboard, then wrapped it. Then put cardboard on every edge and wrapped it again.

I might have over done it a bit on the wadding......

OK I am all set.

I cut some graphics using proper 3M vinyl last week. I now have a full assembly kit, minus the woofer bolts which I lost so I have ordered more. Doh.

Made up a Lapp Kabel with a rhodium plated plug, like the rest of the system.

And got some more hard splitters. I have rewired the amp using QED Silver Anniversary cable. The 8AWG ground on there is for the coil bridge wire.

I made sure that I sealed everything with liquid tape and wrapped it around the core before hot gluing it all back down.

Lots of mute mat. Twice what I used already. This is for the top and bottom.

First 2 things to do after it's working, swordfish ball baring bomb and then super 8 train scene both near the start of the films, then it'll definately rumble in the jungle :D

I read everything :P

I have time on my hands, but hopefully it'll not shake your room apart :D

even my little samsung 5.1 setup while low wattage sometimes has upstairs come down and moan but never on a friday night when it's movie night he hasn't was spider man this week and for the next two weeks.

I've had an eventful weekend on the PC but got it all running nicely now, actually had my first driver crash was while running cinebench, but it recovered and continued so little odd that one. I'm happy thou got more out of it than expected works fine on my x370 board which i was a little worried about. So the 6800XT is doing what it should now farcry6 and cyberpunk 2077 were my biggest boosts that i've noticed so far but overall the most noticeable is web browsing lol pages load faster than i can blink :D

Cab is coming tomorrow dude. Have hired a removal company. Can't build what I don't have. Hopefully if nothing goes wrong and I don't have anything missing then by tomorrow night I can start running it in.

Nice, I've done some checking on windows 11 so that's my day today least give it a test if i don't like it can switch back, first thing i done was game saves back up 2.5gb of them LUL

I think 2 of my apps need new versions, but they will make windows feel a lot like windows 10 really handy apps mainly one called fences good for custom desktop files folders ect.

I've checked up on my drivers and devices seems like it'll all be good, i just want to try auto hdr as i have a ton of games and it'd be nice for something like witcher 3 or older games if it's decent.

Plus it gives me something to do, then i'll mod GTAV keep myself out of trouble :)

Right, fat tummy removed haha. That's the bum bag with a big TV, you can't get away from it.

Sound test. That noise is the flat. Headphones on should give you a rough idea of how it sounds at 50% volume. I daren't go any more.
