4.5" hole saw, deburring tool, and 120 thru 600 grit sandpaper :)

im contemplating getting a maze4 instead of the z-chip... what do you guys think?

I imagine they would cool just about the same mate. I'd probably stick with the Z-Chip just because it's specifically designed for your applicaton.

well today, the x1800XT arrived, as well as the 2 fans for the top of my case:

Damn that looks sweet as!

Almost wish I'd purchased one of those sexy cards!

Then I look at my pwuddy 7800GTX 512mb:jerkit: :dribble:

Show us what that card can do!:)

ooh... its a bit off-topic from the project log, but i've been chatting with an old friend down in chitown for a while, and we wandered onto the topic of computers, and i started babbling about cooling, and how i wanted a DI/LN2 tube... he wanted to know what that was - i showed him pics of some on XS, and hes just sends a reply "give me dimensions and i can probably make it happen"

so if he can make it happen, its going to be a hawt custom thick-wall dry ice tube - 2" ID 2 1/4" OD main tube - 12" tall

and a base thats 1/2" thick, and milled somewhat like this one that i found on XS, but with the center dimple enlarged a little bit, and grooves cut where the lines are:

oh hot damn, if this comes together as planned, this 955XE will be going sky high for some sick little benchmark runs in addition to the treat of being WC'd under a Storm G5

You can buy DI at the grocery store by the pound for super cheap.

Stupid question Dave...c'mon - if you can buy guns at your local grocery store in USA, you sure as hell can get Dry Ice. Its not like its dangerous or anything

;)

ripped everything out of the case today to integrate the DD ATI-X18 block into the WC loop... which will probably happen tomorrow or thrusday night (so i gotta have this damn thing laying on my tool cabinet until then)

It'll be snazzy when she's in though :D That XT looks like a monster, w00t w00t!

U need to score that 955XE so you can start DICE testing! :yumyum:

got my DD dual bay reservoir in from CrazyPC.com today (props to them for actually having it IN STOCK! - no one else had the clear ones)

and got the new WC loop with the DD ATI-X18 full cover block set up, with ABSOLUTELY NO LEAKS when i first filled it up and turned on the pumps :)
