Data Recover - SD Card

Well, long story short.

Lots of photos.

Give camera to drunk friend.

No photos.

Can it be recovered? If it helps we took about 30 photos after it so I imagine if I do get any back it won't be em all, but is there a way to get some back? My Mum took the camera to Rome, be nice if she could get them printed.

Yep, you can use some apps that are designed for HDDs.

When you delete something normally, it normally just hides away on the storage waiting to be over written.

That means that your photos are there it's just that a few 30-40 of them will be unrecoverable.

I've used an app call "recover my files" before on a CF card and it worked a treat.

In the end I found something on Download.com with lots of downloads and decent feedback (as my god there are some sketchy apps out there...) and I have most back, thanks for the help anyway. Might try another run or two just to see if anything new turns up
