Cheap UK Broadband For SysXtreme Members

On their budget hosting on this page http://www.budget-hosting.co.uk/budget_web_site_hosting/ they give you 50 megs for a fiver for the year. It says "works with php" but I'm not sure what sort of things they have installed.

Yep 50:1, but tbh i wouldnt have thought it given the speeds i get throughout the day.

Assuming I'm right of course - but I can't see it being less than that.

More important may be what your line will support - mine only does 1mB but that's fast enough.

I'm on Metronet 2mb right now so should expect the same, for me though currently web pages aren't 'instant' maybe its Plusnet already

I've probably missed out (this thread is quite long) but I've signed up my personal web sites (I'm a plusnet user currently but moving!) with web-mania.

They really should advertise better, but they allow you 5 domain names pointing at one site for £20 + VAT per year and the bandwith etc. IMHO is quite reasonable.

Dont worry you havent missed out!! i thought that when i first saw the thread and it was only 3-4pages long hehe - theres been alot of interest recently with this offer and has attracted alot of attension.

Btw i moved from plus.net, was a good idea tbh

Agreed. Its simple and sexy. Not a bad colour scheme either, and most of all it doesnt have silly pictures of people (that dont even work for the company) with headsets on

Thats great news

I noticed a slight improvment in the speed of web pages after changing to IDNet, but most of all i noticed an improvment in the sustained speed of downloads and low ping times to game servers. Also, IDNet's networks arn't overloaded in the evenings so i dont really notice any speed difference from AM to PM.
