BFG Multimedia Project

Some of you may remember I was considering using XFX or BFG for one of my projects to design a stand in 3D CAD and then create a fully rendered visualisation and video fly through of it. Thanks to Phil for the measurements of the 8800 HSF, which allowed me to accurately model it :)

The movie flythrough was cool, but it's a HUGE file - anyway this is a shot of one of the A3 poster submissions:

Edit: please don't find any faults or I'll kick myself as it's handed in now!

cheers for the nice comments :)

I'm not sure how long it took - I've been so busy juggling different projects around it's crazy. The video rendering took a few days and nights and thats on a dual core for about 40seconds worth of video. It makes me wonder how long it took (or what they use) with things like Toy Story, or The Incredibles, as they use the same software as myself.

A fair bit of time was spent faffing around with video formats and getting them to play correctly on the LCD's on the display - (there are four and one projector screen!), then I used AVid to edit the final video slightly with fades and audio track etc...

The PhotoShop posters/ visualisations didn't take me too long at all compared, but I don't want my marker to know that! :p
