About time I get this sorted and feed your desire for pics!

Finally got home, had been going around the local area handing out invites for an event held at my school to senior citizens.. long day! Found the note I stuck on the door saying "CityLink Please leave package at Number 7 ->" next to which was a small circle which said simply the following - "AT 7". RESULT! Ring the doorbell, greet and thank 97 year old John and grab the package. As I went to my room this is what I got up to! Firstly of course get rid of my suit.. and uncomfortable shoes. Why can't we wear trainers 'eh?
Anyway..
So after I got my bearings I ripped up the big, CityLink bag and here's what I found inside!
A few pics after ripping up the packaging as well:
And here they are again, compared to a couple of bananas (obviously for scientific reasons, don't be silly!) Spot the smiley

Enough fooling around, I thought. Lets get to work, shall we?
Got the 8-pin lead in its rightful place and set about sorting the fan clips (THANKS TOM! MUCH
MAN LOVE!)
All in there. Looks much tidier now as well! Obviously I pulled all the cables a bit from the back in order to avoid it catching on the top 18cm fan.
Then I thought it was time for the BluRay drive. There was a problem though, when I took off the front 5.25" bay cover and I found the cables from the top of the front panel stashed under there, preventing the drive from sliding straight in. Easy to solve I guess, crack the front of the case open as so..:
Then gently tug on the cables from the back of the case:
And err, job done - runway was clear so time to land the drive in its place!
After that was in it was a matter of sticking in the four thumb screws to hold it in place, aligning it and tightening. Job done, simples. The cables were a tad tricky to keep tidy though! An extra SATA and SATA power over there!
Not half bad from the front though
Sliding that SATA power in the power supply:
And that was it! All the hardware was where it should be and it shouldn't go boom when I switch it on.. or should it? I had the side panel off and was watching it closely the moment I flicked the power supply switch. All motherboard lights that should go on went on and there was no warning. So far so good..
The pen drive went in the USBs at the back and got a little Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit on the go..
I thought installing Windows is quick on a normal hard drive but that SSD is just off the hook. It was all done in around 5-10 minutes including all the setting up... just WOW. Then it was all the drivers' turn and after that was sorted.. well who knows? I'm currently writing this off my other rig as I only have one set of monitor, keyboard and mouse. Will see what happens later though. Hope you like it and I hope the (although admittedly short) wait was worthwhile. See you later
