TTL gets his 1800X....

YES!!! TTL does AMD once again! The PPC fan and EK AIO are a bit concerning given the number of whispers going around the tinterwebs though, is this going tobe another 290X or 9590 heat issue....

loved the video excitement builds with a touch of how hot are these cpus get, for them to send you a 2000rpm fan and water

If its like other sample boxes, he will get an AIO cooler inside along with the ASUS RoG crosshair.

Video was blocked for me as im viewing from work.

Both Joker and TTL received a Gigabyte Aorus K5. Tom received a Noctua air cooler along with the EK AIO and I think Joker did as well. At least he used a Noctua cooler for his unboxing.

This image seems to come to mind.

It is 8 cores that need cooling though, by the same token intel doesn't supply a cooler with their x99 stuff, they just wont cope on oem coolers whatsoever.

People compare to easily to the past where, at present, intel been recommending proper cooling and no one seems to beat that into the ground like they do with amd.

Would be great to see AMD bring something competitive back into the market. Competition is always good for not only the industry but us as consumers/PC nerds.

Looking forward to see how it performs TTL!

Tom you were talking about the stronger fan on the Noctua and I believe the reason for that is to take advantage of the XLS capability of the 1800X processor

From the look of it AMD are rolling with the Noctua. Maybe because they don't have any of their Wraith coolers ready yet? IDK. Also noticed that none for sale seem to come with the Wraith?

Should be a moot point any way, as Tom has the CH6. From what I am hearing these things are hot buggers (I kinda knew to expect that any way) so yeah, will need decent cooling.

But then who spends £1000 on a CPU board and ram and puts on a stock cooler?

Two big thumbs up to AMD for putting in the best DAMN AIO on the market beats any crappy Asetek AIO.

CH6 will be a stand alone review

CPU Reviews will be on the X370 Prime Pro

Oh OK. TBH I kinda think if I do ever go with Ryzen I may get the Prime. I like the look of it and the price. Hoping it stacks up. Does need an IO shield though.
