I had this with my gpu, for a whole no, i didn't get no work for it and if i did, at times it would crash and the WU would fail
 
Just got a 7020, reports 41k PPD off SMP 6 then gets to ~2.5% and says its updating and just sits there then system partly freezes up. Hard shutdown and now is reporting 38k PPD, starting at 0 again. Is there even any point trying to fold an SMP for like the next week? Stanford just keep wasting my time and electricity

I guess big wu's must be on short supply or something, i hope it gets fixed soon
 
Two reinstalls later and it turns out my 4.125Ghz (250x16.5) Windows stable OC was 25Mhz too high for F@H's likings.

4.1Ghz (20.5x200) + 3Ghz CPU/NB and I'm now back at usual PPD. I did try stock but that was only bringing in 2.6k PPD so I had to OC again. Have to manually start clients from run commands rather than through menus though. Took about 24 hours all in all to sort out. Hope it sends the units this time!!
 
So I started folding again using the new F@H control thingie, but for some reason it won't use 100% of my 470's power?

Anyone know why by chance?
 
Man this X6 sure does crank out some PPD!

Did they change the projects to make them worth more or something and make the GPU ones less stable??
 
Bummer now we can't post links that are not from OC3D, then my guide site is useless as well LOL kinda not thought it through.......

well its also for myself so we'll see..........

I'm new to folding so not that savvy at present. My second WU (now completed) and third WU (now running) are both "7200" and states "points unknown" and "PPD 0.0".

Can I ask if this is normal ?

For some reason my 470 units fail after about 80%. It only happens usually once a day, but it is annoying as hell and IDK why!

Any ideas?

What GPU drivers are you running? Is anything overclocked? Try folding at stock speeds for a day or two and see how that goes. I was getting the above for a stretch of a week or two a few months back and simply restarting the client fixed it. What client are you using? (v7, console, tracker).
