Those little annoying F@H things ..

A quick question guys, how do I know when a WU starts earning bonus points?

Easiest way is to check on extremeoverclocking folding stats. You shoud notice a big jump in your point earnt. And it should keep track of the number of units that have been filterd through the system. As soon as it hits 10 you should be getting the extra points.

Edit:

As for being on topic.

Having a soft spot for an old team and being over taken by two people !!!

lol

Edit 2:

Oh the last update just look me back past one of thise people

lol lol

Sorry SOA_RRU

You just have to love Stanford, who else can lower your PPD by 100K a day with crap WU's.......

Finally got inundated with the 76xx GPU WU's, about a 50% PPD loss on the 560TI 448's, plus an endless stream of 8001 SMP WU's

For over 2 weeks my rig was running solidly and today when I woke up I found it had BSOD'd with error code 09C, which could be a number of problems. I will have to investigate....

Taken from "BSOD" in the folding forum

“0x9C = QPI/VTT most likely, but increasing vcore has helped in some instances”

The 16K is all it is worth now because of the lost folding time.....

I know that

I'm just saying, wasted all that energy and time - such garbage...

Also seem to be getting about 10k higher PPD running 3x SMP 2 clients rather than 1x SMP 6 (means I can have two slots folding normally while the current one bumbles along on four cores less. Increased timings from 9-9-9-24 to 10-10-10-26 to see if that will stop the freezing.

EDIT: okay maybe not, down to 10k PPD now

Yup my rig froze up too, lost a lot of PPD on SMP which is now 7182 and the GPU0 does not want to run.

Can anyone tell me from the following info, what has happened and if i can continue the GPU0 WU as its at 62% or do i delete it and start over?

Launch directory: C:\Users\Dipak\Desktop\FAH GPU Tracker V2\GPU0

Executable: C:\Users\Dipak\Desktop\FAH GPU Tracker V2\FAH_GPU3.exe

All this seems to be happening after i got the Gtx460, including the high temps on the CPU, the boiling GPU and not to mention the BSOD that i mentioned in another thread :

Its a shame really, since its a brilliant folding card great boost in overall PPD but not good at all on temps

Seems it doesn't like running 2 GPU clients at once on the same card. Just delete all your slots and start again.

---

Rig is being as slow as it was at 2 core speed with all six cores on the same unit now, F@H WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!!!

I'm confused and annoyed lately with all issues

Not exactly sure how GPU Tracker works.....but generally Mach. ID 1 is for the CPU/SMP. The 1st/only GPU defaults to Mach. ID 2, and the 2nd GPU would be configured as Mach. ID 3.

As far as controling GPU temps MSI Afterburner is pretty good after you setup a custom fan profile, all my cards are set to hit 100% fan at 70-72C

Installed afterburner and started folding, temps rose quite quickly to 81c with fan set to 100%. I deleted the GPU WU and started again

Started new WU on SMP today and got the 7504 worth 644 points

Currently my GPU is giving me more points, usually its the other way around, its like i've lost my bonus points or something

SMP should be done about 4pm and hopefully its another 6097,6098 or 6099 WU

I can't remember the last time I had a 6xxx, mostly 8xxxs and some 7xxxs for me with the occassional 11xxx or 9xxx

my SMP client is giving me trouble.... it keeps "Attempt(ing) to get work failed, and no other work to do." why isn't there work to do ?!?! lol

i turned it off and back on again, still nothing and its been like this for hours, i'm losing ppd NOOOO

edit:

------------___________------------

its working now.... just had to turn on the -advmethods tag (must have turned it off to see if ppd would change and forgot about it....)
