Those little annoying F@H things ..

Both of these GPUs will probably run the FahCore_16, which is pretty CPU intensive, try clearing 1 core(2 threads) for the GPU folding and see if the PPD goes up. Not sure if this will work properly on the 2500K as I think you can only select 2,4,6,8 cores for SMP folding in the latest v7 client. Can't try this as I am still stuck on a e6400

Ok, just keep a look out for failed WUs, this may mean you OC is unstable. But apart from that if it isn't happening a lot your QRB qualification should be fine. So it might be the client indeed. if it doesnt work properly after placing it on the OS drive you can also try the new v7 Client. which is also pretty easy to work with, and should steal even less performance from folding.

Thanks

. I did try the V7 client for a bit, but it seemed to produce less points for me on the CPU, so I went back to GPU Tracker V2. In the past I've had no issues with the 3000+ point WU's so could this mean that my CPU is degrading. I think it's unlikely as I'm only pushing 1.19 volts at 4.0GHz and I'm using a Noctua NH-D14.

Nah, this just seems to be a crediting issue instead of a hardware issue. Unless your not making WUs on time but again, thats unlikely.

Also the performance of the v7 client has been upgraded as multiple bugs (such as excessive processing time used by the FahControl) have been fixed. But just use what your comfortable with and what rakes in the most points

Yeh it's normally a 14+ day deadline for the big point WU's and I'm completing them in 1/2 days because I'm folding 24/7 and usually only game on the weekends.

I'll try the V7 Client again and see if that helps. Thanks again for the help

No no no no no!

I'm having the exact same problem and it's starting to drag too. The problem is Stanford, not your system.

Should be getting about 25k PPD but they won't credit me properly.

When this happened before no points were being credited whatsoever and they reimbursed us.

But this time it's only QRB points, so all we can do is just keep folding as usual and hope they wake up the little git who's fallen asleep in the server room.

Here is a wild idea.. Tell them..

they don't have a forum just for pretty looks.

If this is affecting multiple people its something they should be made aware of.

Shouldn't have to tell someone when their server has died, that's just a joke - but okay, before this gets any more ridiculous.

I was thinking it could be that, as it only started happening recently. I'll see how I get on this week and if I am still experiencing issues I'm going to sign up on the folding forum and post a thread!!!

I just signed up and posted about it (no aggressive vibe). We'll see. The WUs were 7903 that kept failing for me, what about you Yassarikhan?

I included in my post that it started about 36 hours ago, as of this moment.

One questions, the points shown in client stats on GPU Tracker and on the EOC site are different by at least 45k. Is this normal?

Nice one mate

. I can't remember which ones they were, but I will check when I get home at 7 and get back to you.

no your not

check it now.

EOC probably has just run an update. The 3rd party sites are usually somewhat behind as they cant run their updates with Stanford simultaneously.

@The Protocol, sorry for my tone mate, not been the best day today, had a PSU die on me and found out that I might have lost one of my motherboards aswell.

It's okay, if you have a constant stream of tasks it makes the best of us volatile.

Well according to a message in that thread I made, I've been credited 762 or something points for my uncredited unit but there was more than once unit and 762 was the base points so I don't know what they're playing at.

Still wondering why my total points are not 359,769 as shown on GPU Tracker

There should be a Gabe Newell soundboard with V7.

"Aer, thes esn't working"

"My favourite slot is the SMP"

"Let me know how many points we still owe you, at..."

"That's what I get for folding at Microsoft"

I think I can explain that..

Did you start out by using the Tracker? or did you already qualify for the QRB?

If you didn't qualify that could be the difference. The tracker probably assumes that you don't have to qualify so it counts the bonus points on the first 10 WUs. But you didn't get those points.

The difference is also logical when looking at the WUs you are handing in now. around 4.2K each, this would be 42K points you 'missed out on'. which is near as damn it makes no difference to the missing points.

Then why am I missing out on QRB? It gave me bonus points on the first 7903 then every 7903 after that has given me 766 base pts and that's it. Check my EOC page in the bottom 3hr point breakdown table
