It is unfair to compare them to the TXs on those benches as they are NVidia's home ground.
how are you finding AMD's CF scaling against Nvidia's SLI scaling? It is something that I'd be very interested in knowing.

The games I've tried so far with the FX all work fine at 1440P, No complaints![]()
I meant for Xfire.. let alone Quadfire like Kaap
Single cards no problems at all![]()
Latest Quad SLI drivers 355.80 trashed my Win10 installation lol
Back on Win8.1 now.
355.80 hot fix drivers were supposed to help with multi GPU setups, maybe only up to 3 cards perhaps lol
Nvidia has dropped the ball on drivers lately. I don't expect quadsli/fire to be perfect without issues but it should never be so bad to trash an OS install![]()
How much rad space do you have to cool 4 Fury X's? That's a lot of heat![]()
In that PC, 3 x 480mm rads.
The cards run at 36c flat out.![]()

 to think I was planning to cool 3 Fury Xs along with an overclocked 5930k with only 2 360 rads.
Just bought an Asus Strix Fury and the BenQ XL2730Z to replace my 970 and 1080p screen. Very excited to receive it in a few days.
What kind of overclocks have Fury (non X) owners been getting?
Yeah, that's what I've been seeing in reviews as well. I was a tad concerned they were being sent golden samples of the Fury—if you call that kind of an overclock a golden sample, what with how spoilt we've become with Maxwell—so I'm glad to hear its consistent for average consumers as well.Probably looking at around 1100-1150 and 550 on the memory.
Good choice on the monitor, I got it a few weeks ago and love it![]()
I think the only reason why I favour G-Sync is because of the lower reported input lag. However, that could be partly due to the panel choices and the scalers each respective company uses. The MG279Q is an example of that. Not sure if you read any of the reviews, but it was said to have a really unresponsive feel when FreeSync was switched on. The monitor had to be kept at 144Hz for the input lag to decrease to the normal rate of around 4-10ms.Having tried both G-Sync and Freesync I honestly cannot tell the difference between them.
I previously had a ROG Swift, I went through 4 of them due to various issues I won't get into but in general the image quality on the BenQ is exactly the same, Which was fantastic on the Swift, But the colours pop more.
As for the 980 Ti being substantially more powerful maybe in some games but in others they are very close![]()
