Is it just me or does it seem like the Vive is the preferred choice for most over the Rift?

It is the only one that supports the "whole room" stuff at launch, so a lot of the game can only work on it.

Looks at sig...... oh no, you can't run IKEA!

Oh right, wasn't aware Oculus didn't support that.

It does, but it has not motion controllers at launch and the head tracking can potentially be problematic.

It doesn't have it right now, but it should in the future.

Everything Oculus right now is sit down and use your Xbox Controller.

Your talking about how the Vive is better.. it's because it's much more expensive. So it makes sense the Rift isn't as good.
Although I find it hard to believe when FB is finding the Rift.. surely they have more money to invest with

I meant that your statement was confusing, as it read like because it was more expensive that it would be slower to gain features.

Also, did you not forget that Facebook are evil? Read the terms and conditions, they can use your movements to target ads for you, the store also lacks refunds and anything developed for the rift can be used by Oculus without the developers permission or consent for whatever they want.

The Oculus is a great headset, definitely the one the weighs less on the head and looks a lot more professional.

Personally I like the vice as it has everything you need at launch and it looks like they do not have an many supply issues as Oculus.

I think this is a great idea. Especially if you can take a 360 panorama of your own room and put whatever furniture you need in it. Maybe that's the next iteration but yeah makes sense to do it. Our nearest Ikea is in the next state and we're separated by a couple of hundred km of water. Home delivery is good but there's only so much you can see from a catalogue.
