AMD Enthusiast
Its more of an engaging experience with a joystick/throttle. Worth investing and it doesnt have to be super expensive.
Be patient.
Be patient.
Just because they act like idiots and try to pump everything in to fill the massive circlejerk/void doesn't mean the core game will be bad. Modules does not mean it'll be in the core game.
Whenever i see a StarCitizen dev talking or writing a blog or making a statement of any kind i feel like there is a tumor growing in my head because it gives me a headache. I actually feel embarrassed to be affiliated in any way with those retards. Just watch that Wingman's Hangar crap, it's like a minecraft's most enthusiastic autists convention.
What kind of a Spacesim releases the FPS module before the persistent universe. Also Cryengine is horrible, there is no fixing that.
I was open to StarCitizen's future, i was even excited for it, but let's face it, ED has a better focus, a far more capable dev team and they stick to their schedule instead of flipping it around and then delaying everything for six months with the result still being sub standard.
Tbh what I have seen of each I think Elite is better, My feeling is SC is going to be over hyped and when it finally gets done will be a let down.
If we just face that Elite was a classic if they were just to remake that updated they would be on a winner. I may be a little biased.
Exactly. So far they haven't delivered anything i'd call impressive. It even seems like they are purposely evading the hard subjects, hence releasing the FPS module, etc.
On a side note, my Logitech Attack 3 gave in, so i'll give ED a shot with my xbox controller. I guess i'll have to get a HOTAS soon. Wanted to get a track IR anyways at some point, might as well give the setup a makeover.

I want a track ir too, they're quite expensive though for what they are. I can recommend the thrustmaster hotas x mine works fantastic
This here, made my day complete![]()

Ya trackir is really needed to enjoy the whole immersive experience. Its just to bloody expensive.. Love my Hotas X though. Cheap but solid and works out of the box.
They have a few trackir 5 on fleabay that have a few days left
Has any body used a xbox controller or keyboard/mouse?
Meh. Cryengine will do the job for Star Citizen. The FPS thing doesn't involve aload of work, hence why it is out first (. Elite is the better game at the moment (then again its been in development for longer and isn't arguably as big in what they are trying to achieve). I'm not too hyped for star citizen then again Elite hasn't swept me off my feet either.
More solar systems, more detail and they are actually capable of meeting those goals.
Elite beats Star Citizen in every way imaginable at the moment and i doubt that will change anytime soon, despite having way less funding and less hype.
Star Citizen is promising waaay more than ED's "well, it'd be nice but we'll probably add it in a future expansion" plans. I'm not writing star citizen off because of ED . I'm not giving them a free pass either (The fps module looks like Halo). I wouldn't say that frontier are capable of meeting said goals yet either.
Basing stuff on Early days is silly.
Cry engine will be fine. It has decent multi threading (up to 8 cpu cores supported for 3) unlike most engines and supposedly it'll be a modified version. Input lag isn't everything.
You also have to admire the EDs team response time.. OCt 28th beta 3.00 came out. Since then they have had 3 updates that fixes issues with bugs and connection issues that were reported.
And you also have to think.. 100 systems or 400 billion? I'll take 400 billion. CryEngine is a very good engine but its not designed to do the things SC wants it to do effectively. Its built around FPS not Space Simulation.
