With the influx of users I believe that their network is now contended on some of their central pipes, but not all of them.

Does this mean problems in the future

ask plus net nicley if you can be moved to a monthly contract - how long have you been with PN any way ?? if its more than a year then your free to leave at any time if you joined last july on a 12month contract then you will have to either pay a fee to leave or wait.

You don't get an email address as standard - you have to phone up and request one. But since I noticed what a hassle it was to tell everybody when I moved from my old broadband what my new email is, I decided to open a yahoo one which never changes.

i use gmail or better just invest in a domain name thats kept seperate from your internet connection, They dont cost much atall and you will still be saving dosh!

Speed seems fine. Haven't done any proper speed tests yet, but the downloads I have done have been a bit faster than my old Pipex 1Mb account :D

Don't know about email as I haven't enquired. I run my own local mail server.

No you dont need email address to setup internet connection. You need a login name which usually looks like an email adress but it is not an email.

As for IDNET email address yes you do need to request one. :)
