Afternoon all - newbie here!

Hi all - I'm Jamie. Been meaning to join this forum for some time, but TTL's latest video prompted me to get my a*** into gear!

I'm into best 'bang for buck' gaming builds, and love cars and photography too. Last year I did some review work for another UK hardware website in my spare time... but found it very hard work alongside a full-time day job.

My current rig is based on an i5-7500 and GTX 1070, albeit I have a confession. I recently turned to the dark side and bought an XBox One X for RDR2 - well worth it!

We are all gamers here, a lot of which own several consoles as well as PCs. I don't think anyone here will have a go at you for playing RDR2 on Xbox One X, that game looks lush!

ATM I own a PS4 Pro and a Nintendo Switch. I did have an Xbox One briefly, but that was temporary, basically bought it cheap, played Halo MCC and Halo 5 and sold it for the same money or slight profit (unsure, it was several years ago).

I can't wait to see Red Dead on PC, though TBH I will probably play it on the Pro in the near future.

Welcome aboard fella, it is true we're all gamers and don't discriminate we all pretty much have both consoles and PCs it's all about the experience not just the hardware.

However as I am sure you'll all agree, you cannot beat tinkering with a PC. When that upgrade itch just needs scratching, it's kind of a great feeling

Yeah, I love the tinkerability of PCs. There are so many options to explore with PC that just aren't there with consoles.

That said I can see why a lot of people favour the "it just works" aspect of consoles. Everyone has their preferences. As I said, gaming is gaming, regardless of platform.

I have a Xbox one X. They are great. Especially when you can't get your rig working because you buggered it whilst tinkering or, like me, spending three months modding it and having it all in bits.
