The 6903 Project has now been released for the regular -bigadv, points might be altered during the project.

Ubuntu 11.04 installed,easy installation.Ubuntu have matured a lot since last time i tried it.

Installation of client 6.34 went well,thanks to Riot`s link.Had to try 3 times,because lack of knowledge.

Some of the Terminal codes isnt valid anymore,but after three times i had it running.

But no gpu folding clients for linux,hmmmm.Tried windows client installation with Wine,and i came short,again lack of knowledge.

Have the bigbeta flag,but no big wu`s.Only wu 6060 had come to folding,with a tpf 1min58sec.

Then i tried installing hfm with no luck.

Now its running,and will be for the next week.

Wu 6903 free for folding,it was a waste of time,but an experience i wouldnt have missed.

Edit: Forgot to tell,has been running for 48h,and a roughly estimate of 45k ppd.

Been running full whack on a fully tweaked Ubuntu for a few days now. I can complete a 6901 WU in 23 hours now!!!!

First big wu running.TPF 20m40s on wu6901

,and compared to w7 installation,it have cut TPF by 4m30s

The i7-970 at 4.0ghz,exhaust is feeling much cooler.

Question; is there a reliable tempmonitor for ubuntu 11.04?

This is on R3E,i7-970@4.0ghz.Ubuntu linux 11.04 64 bit version ,client 6.34.

PPD: 109k

Totalpoints: 342k

Completion time: 3,14 days

Looking forward to your new build

If you only go smp folding,ubuntu 11.04 64 bit, with unity installed is a clear winner,only thing that holds me back,i cant find a decent fermi-gpu setup that will work in ubuntu linux.Having 5 fermi gpu worth 65k ppd,im not willing to throw away w7 on the other rigs,for now.
