The White Ghost of Watercooling

Its the phantom 820, neverbackdown, are you on about placing the rad ontop of the chasiss? If so, no, my cover wont go on, & itll look rather odd with no plastic top, & a plastic front fitted.

I think if nzxt made the top part of the chasiss inverted, it would fit. Right now, its indented in, pushing the rad down, which gives good clearance for the fans, but I think if it was reversed, so it was raised, i still think the fans would fit, although very close to the mesh, it would give the clearance i would need to mount the Montsa rad.

Ive also sent a message to Aquacool, see if they can make up me a 1-off 240 60mm thick rad in white. heard nothing back yet, im not holding my breath....

I suspect card No.2 will arrive when aquacomputer decide to send out more stock of their waterblocks, as that card was ordered before anything else on separate orders. Being the first order in & the same order as the waterblocks, it seems its going to be the last order shipped out.

Oh and a NexXxos 360 UT60 has been ordered to replace my unused Monsta :(

If anyone want to buy it, hit me up, otherwise its going on an auction site lol

well, I probably would of it was metal, its plastic, plus, I aint 100% sure how its stuck on.....

the thought did cross my mind.... think ill leave it for now. Get it up & running is my first priority!

What a shame with the rad! Weren't you able to return it and get money back? If it was unused and all.

Agree with Permafrost, you should paint the mobo. Something to do while you wait for the rest of the hardware. ;)

Nice hardware. It's coming along nicely :)

Its just attached by screws on the back. about 6 or 7 small ones.

Well, after reading what ive just read, ASUS are releasing a damn white one!! Talk about bad timing, but its ok, ill wait till thats released & get that.

Cant return the rad, ive had it for about a year even tho its new!!!

Sucks man

Well you cant go wrong with your one. The Mark S thats being released will be sold at an overpriced premium (which I still want ;))

If you are patient and careful, you can still make yours look professionally, done (if not well done). Just stick to spraying the armor. I have yet to see a single motherboard that has been sprayed a custom colour without making it look tacky. Furthermore, if you arent satisfied you can always strip it down again.

Paint the armor with Plasti-dip man!! It's easy, and it peels off if you don't like it. If you want to see a good example of a white painted board, look up some builds/logs by the user Snef. He did the armor in white at LEAST once, and it looked absolutely amazing. Then again, EVERYTHING Snef does looks amazing. I think he even sprayed the entire motherboard, without issue too.

Yea, but that white board man.....!

Ill see when it arrives & at what cost. Im hoping its sub £200!!

No chance. Its a limited run board each individually numbered. You are looking at price in the range of the top end ROG boards if you ask me. One source quoted between $275-300 so for me that like 300-350quid :S

Ah good stuff. I'm in the process of spraying my gear white, but I am trying not to make it over powering. I'm intending to use UV green coolant but toying with black and white components. Nothing has been put together yet so I dunno if it will be a good choice.

Time will tell :)

Well, even if its.$300, ill buy from states, & get it shipped over here. There is no plastidip services that i know of over here, but ill look into it!!

Just a quick question, & i know its dependant on how big your loop is, but generally speaking, how much or how many ml or litres does one need to fill their loop? I dont want to buy like 5 bottles & only needing 1-2.....

Oh, & an update, Aquacool got back to me regarding a white 240 rad one off. They are unwilling to accomodate my request. Not very customer pleasing are they, dispite me offering more wedge.....

My loop takes a bit over 2 litres. I bought a 5 litre bottle and it's sufficient for two fills atleast.
