Just got my virgin media installed today. And i must say its amazing. Downloading at a cool 7mb/s with a 1080p video streaming. What a buy. If you want the fastest in the UK go for virgin media F**K BT

I'm with Virgin Media. 20Mb package, average download speed is around 2.5 MB/s, never really uploaded anything so haven't noticed.

Virgin Media ADSL. I receive a speed of 0.001mb, and that's no joke. They charge me £31 per month for the usage, and I still have a 40GB limit. With a speed of 0.001mb I don't think I'll have a problem with the limit lol.
I made a topic about it the other day, here is my speedtest (latest), as most of the time it fails to load as I lose connection. The speed is terrible, and all other providers will be the same as it uses the same BT line. Virgin Media have finally agreed to take a look at planning and putting fibre optics in here. Yes 100mb please, I miss cable!

I feel bad for you. I thought DSL was bad (it kinda is). Fiber optic would be sweet. I don't think it's available in Canada yet.
It's not bad, but it'll kill me once I start doing commentaries and upload them to YT.
Edit: I'm on a wireless connection, my speed is probably a little higher.
That's right, 7.5Mbps actually qualifies it as faster than 73% of Australian internet users.
Our telecommunications infrastructure is in sad state really. The AUD$35 billion plus National Broadband Network (NBN) is laying down fibre to the premise and is part of the bang for buck, too-easy political basket; yet some idiots think you can sustain traffic through wireless. Urban traffic will cripple wireless systems, while rural communities will be to spread apart to make good use of wireless. Copper can go shove it.

Im with virgin, got their 50mb package installed waiting on 100mb arriving in my area though but still nothing of the sort here yet

Been with virgin just over 3 weeks now and had no problems with them so far. And this is just how much i have used in 2 weeks.
For the amount of money i pay them for there broadband i hope they don't cap me or they will be getting a phone call from me.

Even if they capped 1MB to 100kb, it would still be faster than me
They cap all of their packages. The unlimited is 'terms of use', which means anything over 10GB on XXL = cap for 4-5 hours. I got capped all the time, even when I never downloaded anything.
