Stripping a Mach2 for cleaning

Ijust got my Mach2 in and its a bit of a mess. Is there an order for removing parts to make cleaning it easier? Id like to get a good look at all the bits anyway so I can learn what goes where. Plus I`m hoping to get this into my Chieftec, though at the moment, I have no idea how. :)

Cheers!

Just pop the compressor feet off and unscrew the condensor and squeeze it out then sort out the wiring to the controller board.

I`m having some trouble with some of the wiring to the board. Its the main cable that carries the live, ground and neautral for the compressor thats providing most of the hassle...I cant get my hand in to disconnect it (I`m not sure which way to pull on it. I cant see the orientation of the connection), and its not long enough for me to move the compressor to get my hand in or to see better..Any advice for this?

Thanks!

Kenny :)

Are you wanting to disconnect the compressor from the controller board?

If this is what you are trying then I suggest you take the whole lot out of the chassis and then you'll have room to disconnect the 2.

Grrr...the final obstacle. The control board has been taken off the case risers, most of the wiring has been stripped out, the compressor has been unbolted to the case floor, now I cant find a way of squeezing it out the side of the case. The overhangs from the top are scraping the hose insulation and iv sliced some of the insulation at the top, damnit. Any ideas on getting it out? The top of the evap hose routing around the compressor is the main concern...I`m glad its slightly flexible

EDIT: GOT IT!!! Yet managed to clip the evap hose with my foot while stepping over it, which gave me a nasty fright.

In general, it would be nice if there was a way to know the hose was 100% intact (read as...no gas leak) when the insulation is on.

:)
