hmmblah's Ryzen build

BTW congratulations on using semen as coolant I've never seen that done before :p

:D

I can't unsee it now . Hopefully in 9 months my system has a litter of 2080 Ti's.

@FTLN - The EK software has been running for over 24 hours now.

Mine to, it stayed in the task bar at least. But noticed my fans weren't ramping up. Reboot fixed the issue.

Here is official response from EKWB:

You can use the controller at the moment as it is as we don't have any updates ready yet to fix it, but we hope the update comes by the end of this week as it was sort of promised by the developers, so you will need to wait and see then. I have however sent the link to our developers and they are already looking into this report of yours and they mentioned it was very useful, so I hope they fix the addressed issues.

I also questioned them about why the controler shows up as being from a different manufacturer :

For some reason the image wasn't showing up so I changed it to a url instead. At first I thought you were saying you received no reply from EKWB lol. Hopefully an update comes soon and it fixes our issue.

Success!! Sleeving is way harder than it looks. I'm not going to say how long it took me to do one cable, but I think it'll go faster now that I have a technique down. Still not sure on colors. Think I'm going to do one wire in white the rest in black on each of the pcie power connectors.

Yep that kind of thing I've yet to do myself takes alot of time, debated about extentions in the past but so little room so a new PSU would be the better option due to lack of back panel space, the new seasonic idea with a slim brick behind and shorter cables seems like it will be a new thing a lot of psu makers will copy that seems like a much better option next build for me :)

Enjoy the weeks of sleeving :P

See you in about three weeks :D

God I hate sleeving lol.

:D Thanks. I'm for sure doing the pcie cables, but I'll probably buy the 24-pin cabling. My only worry is being able to make the bends from the power supply on the bottom to the motherboard directly above. There isn't much room for a nice arcing cable with the pump/res so close.

Upgraded the memory to 32GB of G.Skill Trident Z Neo. I've been working from home and kept maxing my 16GB when gaming and running all my work apps. The 16GB will go into another build I'm slowly putting together for my kids. Just waiting on a lower end Ryzen CPU to be at MSRP instead of marked up. I'd love to be able to grab a Ryzen 5 1600 AF for $85.
