I've just recently noticed, when ever my gpu is on full load, when gaming, there seems to be some noticeable static sound that i can hear around the 6 and 8 pin area.

Any thoughts or problems?

Im not noticing a performance drop or overheating in my card.

i'd guess coil whine
not much you can do about that, shouldn't make your card explode either afaik

My msi 780 does it too, more of a buzz than a whine. (my HD6970 also did it, which i treated with a small coating of varnish which cured it, but i'm less inclined to do that on a 780 due to the cost of the card) Luckily it's only bad in batman arkham origins & 3dmark11/13, nothing else seems to make it as loud.

When I clock my 7950's from 925/1250 to 1200/1575 they also make this noise... Heh, it is scary to be honest, they don't do it at 1150/1500 so I stay there.
