OK SO HERE IS AN UPDATE!!!

I reinstalled the OS on my SSD, I then reinstalled the mobo drivers to make it run in AHCI, THEN IT STARTED TO DO THAT FUCKING FLASH THING!!!!!

So I removed that part of the mobo software and she boots in under 10 seconds now

Thanks a ton guys even if I did find the problem myself I enjoyed trouble shooting this with you all much <3!!!!!

Ok so I did what the thing said, I swapped it to AHCI and it still gives me that lock up for about the same amount of time (maybe 3 seconds less). Anyone got any other suggestions

Do you have the latest BIOS update for your motherboard as well as the latest drivers? I think AMD SATA drivers can sometimes be a problem, but not necessarily the cause.

Can you still boot into Windows now with AHCI set in BIOS? If so, try updating your SSD's firmware and restart your system if possible. If the above fix isn't working, maybe you can also try installing the AMD AHCI driver for your motherboard's chipset to see if that helps and check with the SSD firmware update tool whether it recognises the SSD and its firmware.

I can boot into windows, I updated the firmware, I installed the AHCI from the disk that came with my mobo, I have the most up to date bios and it still gives me that 20 some odd seconds were it flashes 1 time then locks up.

So lets be realistic about whats going on

1) is my SSD still good

2) whats my worst case scenario

3) best case scenario

Maybe when you have time, you can try backing up all your important things onto another hard drive for storage and then do a fresh install of Windows 7. Since Windows 7 by default has its own MS AHCI driver, you could try installing Windows 7 and update all necessary drivers after to see if it helps?

You can also try ATTO disk benchmark to see if your SSD perfermance is similar to what Corsair has released.
