hey everyone! I have finished my exams last thursday so now I am on a mission to watercool my rig wants it comes back in a couple of days. now can anyone one recommend me some good quality parts. the only thing I think I like at the moment is the ek water block acetal + somthing I cant remember. Im going choose a bunch of parts right now and then you guys can tell me if they are decent or bad.

guys I'm back and and this is what ive came up with:

EK-Supreme HF - Full Nickel

Swiftech MCP655 12V Speed Variable Pump

EK-Multioption RES X2 - 400 Advanced

Black Ice GT Xtreme 420 Radiator

thats all Ive got so far

your views and opinions wanted

oh and I forgot im cooling my i7 950 and a 580 and possibly the motherboard

yeah I slowly figured when I was adding up all the parts prices im at $486 withought coolant or tubing or fittings! quite tempted to stay with the d14 but well see first because im planning to pay for one part at a time.

yeah but if i buy a dual rad for the cpu then i have to buy another rad when i want to cool my 580 better to just the triple and not have to waste more money?

its cool fella

the TA is newer and has things like an improved core, G1/4" ports and 15mm spacing

the PA is still good tho

hey just another quick question how in the world do i get my cpuz on my thing like i can see everyone elses

and im averaging a 4ghz overclock with max temp at 56 degrees and idle is 36 degrees now that pretty darn good i think

you use it to validate overclocks

so if you did a suicide run at say 4.7ghz then you would validate the CPU-z

you can do it anytime tho fella just click validate

look at this pump/res

http://www.specialtech.co.uk/spshop/customer/product.php?productid=6647&cat=1215&page=1

it will look titdy and stil give decent performance

thermochill rads aswell the PA ot TA series

amd if ur cooling the gpu and the cpu and mobo your gna need 2 loops

HMMMMM AMDFTW what do you base all this info on, Ive never seen a watercooled rig you have done.

Deffo dont 'need' two loops for a single GPU. If you are not 100% sure please just stay quiet fella rather than giving info thats incorrect.

what so a quad rad will cool a 580 (oc), i7 950 (oc) and the mobo?

i may not have built a wc rig but i was not wrong ither

An i7 can be cooled by a double (thick) radiators, although a triple will be more comfortble, particularly with the mobo involved. I have pair of 5970s on a quad and the temps never go above 51C, but that is on a gpu only loop. Generally people prefer to separate the gpu and cpu because the cpu is much more finicky about temperatures.

If you were OK with doing 8 fans on a push pull setup on a quad you might cool it all with a quad, but its not ideal and doesn't leave any overhead for new parts.
