CAS 11-13-13-31

Corsair Memory Vengeance Pro Series Red 16GB DDR3 1600 MHz
CAS 9-9-9-24

which ram should you go for and why shouldnt you got for a high speed

i wont be answering ill let the community answer

so come on people help those confused builders out and for those builder good luck with part picking and builds

There are suitable reasons to justify any of them, if paired with the right components certain kits may bring performance gains in some situations, however it isn't likely to be proportional to the added cost. Performance/Price is never linear and for that reason the 1600MHz CL9 kit will make most sense for the majority of users.

I would say the 2400MHz kit is so loosely timed it's not worth bothering with for anybody but the timings of the 1866MHz kit seem quite good, if it was only a small increase in price then I would go for that kit for a Haswell build.

i5 3570k
msi z77a-g43

the reason why i went with 1600 was my processor and mobo

^This for price/performance. Can pretty much handle most application you throw at it on a daily basis, including gaming. Anything above that speed grade, performance gain would be trivial. Unless of course you run apps that are memory intensive.
