Project Arclight

Wow, just re-read your complete log, lovin' the milling work you've got goin' on. Keep the updates coming, this is gonna be good.:)

Really awesome mate!

The milling is top notch!

Where did you get your mini mill and how much does a toy like this cost ?

Ebay, and excluding endmills bought after the mill was £650, i believe it is now £710 (increasing demand)

i am about to run in a th e design wall, as i now have EK oboars i need to find space for a GPU loop and replace the twin res with a pair of EK 150s, hey fit the theme much better. i suspect more creative milling, especialy now i need multiple lines through

times like this i am glad i bought a big box of POM offcuts

I just read through this log for the first time, and I'm at a loss for words. STUNNING work sir! Unreal!

Yes, yes, this is awesome!

And indeed, lubrication is key when milling metals, one of the first things I learned in my first
internship (which was at an anti aircraft gun manufacturer, rather awesome  ).

Looking forward to the rest.

Hehe, I think we might run into problems with export restrictions on that one

The guy responsible for manufacturing once said to me that in his opinion they are more of
a paper processing and printing plant which happens to sell some arms on the side. Almost
every single last part needs to be traceable through the entire manufacturing process, so you
basically get a folder of documentation for even something like a bolt. And it has to be in paper,
too, since the people responsible for a manufacturing step need to hand-sign their respective
documents.
