Pets corner. For all of our furry friends.

Here is my cat, Tigger, he is 10 years old this April and all he seems to do is sleep about 60% of the time, the other 30% he is either eating and the other 10% he is energetic haha

I volunteer at a No Kill shelter. The first couple pics are friends at the shelter. The third pic is my cats. They came into the shelter and were super shy. I took them to foster them and work with them. I'm called a Cat Whisperer there, I do very well getting to tough cats. I named the two Stevie and Gypsy. I listened to Pandora and a Fleetwood Mac song came on. I thought the name was perfect for the girl, Gypsy, since she was an escape artist at the shelter and wandered. Then I wondered what I could name the boy. Stevie after Stevie Nicks. The next song convinced me the names were their destiny. Stevie Ray Vaughn came on...he had a soul patch like the boy cat. Also, Stevie Ray played at a place in Texas all the time, even after he became famous, it was called, The Gypsy Tea Room. WOW, I thought, both names were tied to the first two songs that came up. Stevie and Gypsy hid for a month, slowly they started coming out of the room. After 4 months they still were unadoptable. I decided to adopt them. That was about 2.5 years ago.

This is Abe at Pet Refuge. I made this with Photoshop. I run the PR volunteer listserv and PR Facebook page...I posted this pic saying Abe and I after some catnip went out and got tattoos.

This is Taffy that greats me as soon as I get there. This got me points with the ladies, a big guy and cat lover. :)

Stevie and Gypsy crashed after working out on the catnip laced scratching board.

In this picture two years ago Gypsy was making me nervous when I was doing my next oldest bro's taxes. The government checking up on me? Right after that, my heart went wacko and I had to get a pacemaker, I used the laptop while in the hospital but it died permanently when I got home and the next month I nearly had a heart attack and had to have heart surgery. All a government plot I say!

Here is our dog Chloe. She is about 2.5 years old now. She is a Chiweenie, which is part chiwawa and dachshund. I don't know where the long legs come from though, neither one of those dogs have long legs like that. Maybe she is part deer too lol. And she can sure jump with those legs.

My custom grown organic filter for my PC.

And he is probably in the low 5% of the dogs in the world who absolutely loves having the vacume cleaner being used on him. He literally falls asleep.

Dude take that dog to the vet, they shouldn't be that friendly with a vacuum cleaner!

This mischievous pair of energy balls, is Magic and Socks (socks is on the left, magic is on the right)

Hers Gabe my 14 month old American bull dog. He has got to be one of, if not the most gormless animals you will ever meet. I haven't got many pics, as he runs from the camera. He's 8 and a half stone of pure stupidness, but full of love.

Hey guys, say Hello to Timmy, the latest edition to our little family. He's an 8 month old rescue pup. Greyhound Whippet cross, he's absolutely petrified of people and is in real bad shape. He's come from (we believe) a very abusive household, with 7 kids.. 2 (quite nasty) parents, a large over-boystrous poodle and a 3 months old sharpei (sp?) that spent most of it's time hanging from his throat. :(

We hope with our two boys we can give him a new loving home. Currently fostering with a view to giving him a forever home. He arrived on friday and had his first cuddle this morning with me before I left for work. It's going to be a very, very long road to recovery but I think he'll be worth every second.

(once he's more settled we will have some more photos of him)

Good of you that you're giving the dog a nice home; it makes me sick knowing how some people treat their pets.

Here's our family pet we've had for about 8 years now. Cocker Spaniel called Ruby :)

Cheers for the support chaps, I'll keep you updated on his progress :) Today is first day at work leaving them alone.. so no idea what we'll come home to.. but we'll deal with it and give him a hug all the same :)

Was just reminded that OC3D had a "Pet Corner" thread and realised that I forgot to post about our new pups when my parents got them in August.

Meet Daisy and Lilly, Clan Campbell's new West Highland Terrier pups.

They have gotten really big since we first got them in August. They are both sisters from the same litter.

Both are now all dressed up and excited for Christmas. I wonder if Santa will get them a tin of Ceasar to eat as a treat.
