ive beeen doing the things that where suggested and u guys were rightt...

I took the d14 and saw the thermal paste....no wonder my temps were higher when i got it back, I reaplied the paste and im on stock clocks now and im at 24 degrees idle and 34 max @ 1.14v i think i can go lower but ill leave it at that, but the worste was still to come I took the cpu out extremely carefully and looked at the socket...THERES 4 BENT ****** PINS MOTHER**** explains everything, I put the cpu back in and went into the bios says I have installed a new cpu bit it STILL only recognizing 2 cores but the temps are a hell of alot lower. this is pathetic im going back very soon and they better fix it or rma it becuase I bought both the cpu and motherboard from their.. I took pics if you guys want to look.

Yeah, post the pics.

And I hate to break it to you, but unless the shop you bought it from will exchange it, manufacturers usually won't warranty an item with bent pins. The plastic cover that comes over the pins usually has this warning on it.

Best of luck to you though, I hope you can get it sorted quickly. Keep us updated.

hmm, I can't see the bent pins. Maybe circle them? Can you get a macro shot of the socket?

Ok guys i did a cmos clear and now i cant back into windows after I exit the bios a blackscreen appears with a whiteline flashing

Wait so is it working now or no? lol. Hope it gets fixed. I'd definately suggest the seating, the cmos, or even windows as the culprit, but thats definately not good having your cores up and disappear.
