Ryzen 5800x to 5950x issues

Right let's start this monster.

I had the ability to upgrade my pc but was in a weird way.
Initial system
Ryzen 5800x
32gb corsair running at 2666mhz 2 x 16gb(it was all I could get during covid)
Strix x570-f
Samsung Pro 1tb
980ti
Corsair hx1200
2x samsung tb qvo raid

This system ran fine. I then had to start trading in some bits to de clutter for a move.
I was able to get a 3080rtx and my god the performance jump was phenomenal.
At the same time I was able to procure a ryzen 5950x. But it took ages for the cpu to arrive.
During this time I was able to trade up to a 3090ti... cos you know why not.

So I installed the 3090ti and the 5950x at the same time. And I started to bench this is where the first few problems started. Doing cinebench r34 I got a simular score little more but not much but that's due to the cores being lower clocked per core but more cores. I was going to oc but wanted to try other bits. Then into 3d mark every score was better by negligible values to the 3080 or worse when running the cpu test, I'd notice the graphics card was not ramping up. How ever in furmark I can push it too 100% and in cinebench the cpu can be maxed.

I have made sure the cpu is running stock and reinstalled all video drivers. I'm getting the same issue.
I thought it could be a psu issue so I have upgraded that to a modern tuf 1000w using the new connector straight into it.

No improvement.
I now can't play forza horizon 5 it won't even go into the game. Anti cheat comes up for gears.
I'm trying to avoid a fresh Windows install. But if that's what it takes then I guess that's what it takes

Thanks guys and girls.

alien has a good point with the chipset drivers, i had to clean out the old stuff for the 1700 I had before going to the 5800x.

I'd expect you'd see some improvement for the GPU side thou from a 3080 to 3090ti thou it's a fair jump but if it's not ramping up then maybe some cleaning to the GPU drivers is needed also even if it see's it as a 3090ti.

I have hopefuilly found my boot issue i've had alien as i ran sfcnow and it found some corruption and fixed it, then i ran DISM stuff afterwards and made sure so hopefully it's solved don't think it was the sas card at all now, but it has cooling which it needed. Still the 4x3tb drives are almost here with a bit of luck by tuesday hopefully they are not trash.

I think it's normal to avoid a reinstall and seek out any options to resolve issues, so hopefully you will find it as I know i'd not like to reinstall and i have my doubts about moving to win 12 when that becomes a thing just too much to hope not to go wrong now.

Cheers well that seems the best option. Was very lucky with being able to go from a 980ti to 3090ti the performance jump is well, wow

I know the feeling i went from SLI 970's to my 6800XT it's a huge jump that 3090ti will be a solid card for you for a few generations until the real performance leaps happen with DXR.

I plan to wait a few gens and then with CPU buy the last gen of AM5 that way prices will have plummeted on it when the next switch to AM6 happens, persoanlly never want to go a first gen of anything again now.

Ha yeah being on the bleeding edge hurts one's head too much.

Right quick update bios updated, not solved the issue with 3d mark timespy but all the others seem good. R23 cinebench multi core is now 25478.

All games like gta v and forza h5 getting 60fps min at max.
So I'll just place it down to a bug

Thanks guys
