MSI GTX 1070 x G flashed to a MSI GTX 1070 Z G

Hello guys,

I have visted a few sites and some people have stated that the MSI GTX 1070 X G can be flashed to the Z G ?

Is this possible, or would it be worth just clocking it to the higher standard ?

Is the MSI GTX 1070 Z G overclockable higher again ?

I wouldn't bother changing the card firmware for anything other than what the card itself is.

The only difference between the X and Z is a mere 50mhz on the core. The memory is even clocked the same.

Depending on the quality of the chip on the card is to how far it will clock. I have a Gaming X 1070 which will clock considerably higher than the Z, but then again that is down to the time taken to OC right and carefully.

Based on your sig, I can assume you know how to overclock a CPU and GPU (Both are OC'd over stock in your sig).

Good point actually. Yes cheers, I should be able to overclock to the highest possible. Excellent ! Getting my 1070 X G Wednesday, for a good price purchased too; £360
