Looking to upgrade Radeon HD 6670

No no i haven't got anything yet. didn't realise i'd quite open up quite a large debate ;) i'm sure i can find another deal from another company with a few games thrown in. i think the top i'm gunna go for overall is around £200 i'm going to europe in the summer and can't really afford to loose too much money, as i'm going to need money for booze etc ;)

I'm kinda slightly lost though now. The AMD Nvidia fight is for another day i guess, but like i said at the start just want best for my money at this range ?

i've kinda picked up that a 7870 or 660ti ??? they're about the same ??? :/

Peace and love guys ;)

There's no debate, just one person who is trying to seem smarter than actually is. (Probably going to get flamed for that) And if I wasn't poor, I'd bet the price of another 7870 that the XFX 7950 you was going to order before the other person tried to complicate things that you wouldn't of had a problem..

But to answer nah haha, if you can pick up a 660Ti for the same price as a 7870 then definitely go for it. But a 660Ti is around £50-70 more than a 7870 (Depending on where you shop of course). So going by that, you'd be better off with a 7870. And if you do have enough for a 660Ti, you'd be better off with a 7950.

Were I in your boots (which I pretty much was until earlier today), I would be looking at a 7870 LE.

I just ordered a Club3D 7870XT JokerCard (their LE card ). Every single test and benchmark I have seen puts it right on par with the 7950, beating it in more than a few.

It costs less than £200,- (mine was £186,- but they seem to be cheaper in the UK). Not sure if bundles are the same in every country, but mine came with Far Cry 3, Bioshock Infinite, Tomb Raider, Hitman Absolution and Nexuiz.

On steam the games are worth almost as much as the card. And if you want to save a bit of cash, you could always sell the games. That should get you back a decent chunk of what you paid for the card.

You've got such a wonderful manner of making friends.

As for being smart? it's not about that. It's about giving out the right advice.

But of course you knew that didn't you?

Let's all buy Athlon X4 cpus, yes.

and we will depart from this before something is taken way out of context and
punishments are doled out..

take a breather...

That's your opinion and by no means will I disrespect you for that. But who said I was trying to make friends?

Let's all buy Athlon X4 CPU's, yes.
Normally I would simply laugh. But my friend, you are acting like a child. And before you say, no, I'm not calling you a child, I can't imagine you are one, I'm simply saying you're acting like one. That thread has no purpose here. You're acting as if this is a competition.. I'll try and make myself clear. I am in no way an expert and haven't and will never claim to be. If you don't like the recommendations I give to someone, keep it to yourself. Or, politely ask why I chose a specific part, and I shall explain why.

I think that would be best here.

right i think i'm gunna go with first advice and stick with the 7870 LE Tahiti thingy particularly if i can find some games thrown in. i'm really not so keen on going much over £200, so i think this fits it perfectly :)

thanks for all the posts guys :)
