Been thinking about it and I decided to splash out a little. Instead of trying to make it work with my KVM I am going to make it a separate entity. I bought this to match my furniture
The last 160gb IDE drive made.
17" LCD in grade A condition.
ESD brush kit to clean the mobo sound card etc.
Elsewhere work continues.
I am having to weld one edge at a time to keep it true and square. I also need to come up with an idea for a fan shim so that it goes in without touching the shroud. All relatively easy stuff.
Quick sneak peak at the back plate. The cut out is for the RAM retention.
I made the back plate to match the logo on the card which is chrome but won't be visible with the cooler on.
Damn. Failed to get any update notifications since the first Firefox issue. Glad you like the block - hope it works now!
You seem to be doing pretty well on the acrylic frint without a mill!
Thanks Bart. I just finished it up and I have to say, in the case it looks absolutely mind blowing. I found a high flow PCIE cover in black and fitted that below the GPU so the air can go out. Most of it comes out of the corner vent as there are stiffeners in the front of the card (and how it mounts).
Two days. Two complete days. And I haven't even got the sound card yet
haha that's actually something I picked up in the USA. My step brothers used to say it you would put on your deepest voice and say "noice" hahaha. It was the cool way of saying nice
I'm down with some sort of illness atm. Head is crashing, throat is sore and I just slept for about 12 hours. Will head back to bed soon I think.
Even though I swore up and down to myself that I was going to do nothing today (got a cold or something) I ended up doing something lol. My ESD brushes came last night so I gave the motherboard a ruddy good clean. Even though it was pretty clean there was a lot of dust clumped up in certain areas. Can't be having that.
And then of course it led on to "I will just remove the stock cooler and clean the CPU" and then "I will just fit the block" and then "I will just measure up the IO cover. FFS lol.
