Forum signatures getting stupid.

Hi guys Just a quick suggestion, Can people put in realistic signatures. I have burnt out 2 mice scrolling down through one members signature, to get to the next comment.

Some people are taking up to over 30 lines.

I think that if your rig components take up that much room, perhaps giving a link to your build thread or even your profile would be a little better.

Its due to the change of the forum software that the signatures now look massive. i.e. line spacing etc etc

I know the line spacing has been messed up but still..... is there any need for that much info in a signature. I think mine is excessive to be fair lol. A quick link to you build log or your rig gallery would be a much better option instead.

Yeah but even before there were some with uber-huge sigs..
Everytime i find something to add to my sig im thinking about it getting to big already.

Yeah, some of these sigs are getting huge, it takes 5mins to scroll past some of them

The forum needs a "sig rig" type of thing that other forums have, and remove images from sigs with 8 lines max. Images in sigs just look far too intrusive.

Tom pm'd me the other day saying it was time to shorten it or loose it. Guess which option I choose??? lol I in no way made it that big its how it came off with the forum changes. But yeah I agree it was HUGE!!!!!

The option to hide user signatures was awesome on the previous forum software. It would be good to have that, but I guess the 8 line limit deals with the issue just fine

I sort of agree, there should be rules re:signature sizes etc (pixels, kb & lines)

There maybe should be rules re:image posting aswell
The number of threads with 10+ 3mp images is pretty mental, people on GSM or slow broadband are going to take forever to load due to bandwidth (I've even seen some who post 4mb PNG screenshot images )
