another little update...

as mentioned before i wanted to change the geforce gtx writing on the gpu...

but instead i'm going to paint a section on the gpu.

first get the cover off

then sand it down and mask it

then the paint... i've done a white and a black version

Haven't got a pic of the black painted cover

I really can't decide which one looks better... please help me

still waiting for the psu and the led strips.

I would try black matte.

id paint the whole thing one colour like white and then go over it with black. once its dry sand the letters down with some fine wet and dry and then polish it up so you have the letters in a different colour to the background. you could mask it up and do it or use a brush but masking takes ages and a brush leaves bad surface finish.

also when you mask up around the area your going to paint if you fold the tape in half down its lenght you wont get so much of a lip on the edge of the paint when you demask it

First off , I really like your build so far. I like what you did with the ssd mount and the roof mod . I think above is a great idea , you could block sand just the letters so you have white with black letters.

I also see Andre re-jig some of his wiring on his ongoing build again nicked from some of your current build, great work dude !

check out 'The Orange Box' you have already commented on there i am sure, I hopefully have a few bits coming tomorrow.

Got an MSIGTX670 Power Edition i could tickle up so the accents will be bright Orange it would certainly do the job.

In the meantime I have a Zotac650ti Amp edition to slot in for now but will have a play about i think with your idea.

id go for a 1000 plus to stop it getting to scratched up and if you wanted it to be gloss again you can then just apply some lacquer over the top. id not use a sanding block tho as id say it would be to big and you will end up sanding other parts of the surface as well so id use middle two or three fingers but instead of moving your hand forwards and back wards move it left to right to stop tram lines or you could also use a cut down filler spreader if you wanted to use a block as this would give you a flat surface to use with the sand paper but could also be cut to a size thats right for the job.
