Finally started my new build

Got an MSIGTX670 Power Edition i could tickle up so the accents will be bright Orange it would certainly do the job.

In the meantime I have a Zotac650ti Amp edition to slot in for now but will have a play about i think with your idea. :)

id go for a 1000 plus to stop it getting to scratched up and if you wanted it to be gloss again you can then just apply some lacquer over the top. id not use a sanding block tho as id say it would be to big and you will end up sanding other parts of the surface as well so id use middle two or three fingers but instead of moving your hand forwards and back wards move it left to right to stop tram lines or you could also use a cut down filler spreader if you wanted to use a block as this would give you a flat surface to use with the sand paper but could also be cut to a size thats right for the job.

update time :)

another little update...

i'm now finished with the geforce gtx writing and i think it looks pretty nice... thanks again to Pugsport for your advice!

i completely sanded the cover down, put new primer on and painted the top of the cover white. i've then went over it with matte black. once the coat was dry i then sanded the writing down until it was white again :)

i'm happy with the result... i think it looks a lot better then completely black or white.

still haven't received the psu or leds strips yet, but i hope they'll be here soon.

i have won a phobya touch 6 fan controller which will go into the rig. i'll tell you more about where and how i've won it when i received it.

Good looking build here.
We have the same case's, but seem to have very different ideas for modding it.
I see your doing something similar to what I've planned for the handle as well. I need it to be functional as will be taking this to some LAN fests.

Wow....just read 15 pages of build-log :D Very nice build indeed CPMFW.

So nice to read about folks saving up for their dreams. Makes us really understand and appreciate the satisfaction this gives the one "making it happen"!
So I really hope she performs to the max - may u be one of those deserving silicone lottery winners ;)

As sweet as it is I would look into painting the Asus logo on the Xonar white.
And to be picky, anal...whatever...... the gold/copper colour of the Xonar's attachment to the backplate would look nice in black.... (just the upper lip will do IMO)

Any news on the 760i and leds?

the 2 years of saving felt like 10 years... i'm so glad i finally got the money i needed.
i'll see what i can do with the soundcard :)
the 760i and the leds are still on their way
 
i've missed the postman today so i'll have to go the post office on monday to pick up the psu. dont know about the led strips yet hope they'll be here on monday aswell, i've also bought some paracord to do the cables of the ax 760i.
hope i'll have everything here by monday so i can crack on with the build!
