Scratch the original mounting system. I wanted the mounting plate to unseen to keep the clean look, so, I had a think. I thought up of a way using the existing threaded inlet and outlets. I simply drilled a couple of holes in some Bitspower end stops deep enough to hold some M4 bolts and fixed the bolts in using metal glue. Heres how they look. Oh, I did drill the holes slightly off centre, so I could pull them slightly off cock, so they would dig in/ grip on the acrylic back mounting plate, just a bit more piece of mind I suppose.

Excuse the crappy mobile pics!!!

Pretty simple really, I just used a series of washers, from M6 penny washers, down to M4 spring, as I drilled the holes in the acrylic mounting plate larger to fine tune how the res sat, to ensure a nice level mount.

And how she looks inside the case.

Note, it looks like there is no mounting paraphernalia, securing the res; just like I intended, nice and clean! Rock solid too, a little extra weight shouldn't be an issue once its full, it really is solid.

Thanks for looking as always!

Just a little update today. I had a package come through from Nils I ordered earlier in the week. As usual in good time and as always the little touches that make MDPC. Here goes.

Some more black sleeving, just to finish off a few more cables and replace ones that weren't long enough. And as always, a little sample from Nils, some crazy neon looking orange and very nice pale blue colour. And as always, Nils epic package drawings... I love this dude!

I also ordered a pair of pat 4-pin Molex. The plan is to use as little Molex as possible, they are big, bulky and ugly, but anyway, I only need a few, one for the pump and I can make them custom lengths from the PSU and replace the transparent red ones that came with the PSU.

A few more female ATX pins

I feel like a cheat!

I'll be using Nils pre-cut 15mm lenghts of 4:1 shrink tubing. I had a go with 2:1 tubing and I just doesn't work (non MDPC stuff) and it just bunched up when pushed into the terminals. Anyway...

And heres a shot of it all together... why not?! :S

I also stripped down my 560ti and put some new thermal grease on the GPU, my idles temps are 2 degrees lower and load is 4 degrees lower.

Just had a go at some sleeving.... wow im shi1t!!! lol I'll have another go. I think I will do the whole 24 pin and see how it looks. I have 150 pre-cut lengths of tubing deliberately so I could have some leeway and cock up a good few times on each cable.

Yeh man, looking forward to the sleeving job. I heard the first times the hardest, but I'm sure you will get through it with amazing results

. Mod on!!!

I had an absolute blast reading this build log, what an amazing project you got going here. I'm really looking forward to seeing more of this, you got some talent man. Keep this up and you could probably get it on million dollar pc

BTW: I totally dig theme you are going for, nice idea.

Wow, thats high praise indeed!!!!

Being in MDPC is a dream!! Anyway, I've got an update soon, uploading pics nao!!!

Sup yo, just a little update tonight, I've done some sleeving, with mediocre results. I am happy (ish) with it, not too bad for my first try I don't reckon, but deffo not the worst I've seen....
ohmy.gif
But first off, I managed to get some strategically placed holes for tightening down the rad on the floor....

My first thoughts,

1. Cute dog.

2. +1 for listening to mastadon.

3. Pc is looking fantastic dude, I'm loving the sleeving and the care you are taking over this is clearly showing. I'm not surprised though, I knew you were picky about this project when you first started posting here! Am really looking forwards to seeing things being mounted.
