Just spent a good deal of my morning reading through this log.

What can I say, epic skills and epic attention to detail. (does of course help to be in engineering as you say)

I love that you have a clear idea of direction and end result.

BTW the paint "malfunction" you experienced with the Li fans was most likely grease reaction (deosn't take much believe me i've had it wreck a few paint jobs). Either that or they were dried too quickly and the paint contracted.

Yea man, I was thinking the other day, just sitting looking at the rig so far, like I do, I'm weird.... I didn't run a tack cloth over it to remove any grease off my fingers of cack that stuck to it in the workshop. I've show y'all a photo later of what I've done so far.

Nothing odd with just spending time staring at your rig as you try to visualise things, and of course spending a lot of time thinking about it most other times of the day

A word of advice though, best to have a cover story in your head just in case your other half ever asks "what are you thinking about"

Have to admit, I spend lots of time thinking about potential builds and combinations of hardware I'd like to build - nothing wierd about it at all dude.

Unfortunately my cover story was blown years ago though.

Nah not at all.

Anyway - so copper tubing? What diameter would you use, and how would you connect it all together?

Possibly 10/13mm tubing with compression fittings

Thanks for all the kind comments again people! Much appreciated! Shame people on Bit-Tech aren't as enthusiastic. Anyway, I should be able to get some more work done on it again tomorrow.

Coming on nicely, not sure about the white accesnts, could just be that I can't see the full picture yet though. Like many here, I love the fan controller in the side. How will you manage the wiring to it etc?

I'm going to make blanking plate to cover the wires and cables going to the DVD drive, fan controller, SSD and HDD so you cant see them.

Also hope u put SB-E in there instead of IB (because its available now and it's more powerful, which this rig deserves
