Decent RJ45 Cable

Hey guys, as the title suggests, I'm looking for a decent CAT 5e (I think) RJ45 cable. It will just be used to wire up my router to my Xbox 360.

I've seen a bunch of different brands on Amazon, but I don't know which ones are quality and which ones are rubbish. If anyone could link me to a good one on amazon.co.uk, that would be great! Thanks

I had good experiences with wentronic wich is available on amazon.co.uk.

Make sure you get one that is sftp shielded. It's not absolutly necessary, but it gives you the best shielding against electromagnetic interference from power cords etc.

Would you mind giving me a link? if its not allowed, a pm would be appreciated ;)

It's perfectly fine to link to amazon here or any other store. If it wasn't allowed, neither would a PM about it be allowed. ;)

stp isn't needed unless it's a super long run and/or you have things like industrial motors or light ballasts near the cable.

Never hurts to be on the safe side ;)

Thanks for the advise.

Surely a CAT5e is going to be a CAT5e at the end of the day. Personally to me it doesn't matter what brand the cable is. They will all run at a gigabit connections if all devices run at that speed.

I've done many small business installs and used different branded CAT5e cables and haven't notice a difference. I mostly use Lindy stuff as it's good quality.

Any of those two cables will do the job.

Alright, I went with the second one as it comes in 50m
