DDC pump Mods

I have a couple of DDCs in a serial link using an EK Dual DDC V2 Top. They are the 18W non PWM variety. One of the things that has always annoyed me with these is that they come with crappy molex connectors instead of the more widespread SATA type power. Has anyone on here converted to SATA power?
Also, on a whim this evening I purchased a couple of replacement PWM boards from DIYINHK. Anyone have any experience of these?

Only pumps that I know of using a Sata connector are the Aqua Computer Eheim jobbies so I've scratched that plan. I did however get these in the post today

I have an Aqua Computer Aquaero 6LT on the way which has enough grunt to power these.
