That’s the worst job in the world......!
To be honest socks it’s a good job the unit arrived like that and you dint fire it up.
I feel for you mate, you have been misled and ripped right off
Looking at the thing it needs a whole new revamp. Electrics need looking at as they look shoddy. The evap needs re-doing and all its joints could do with being stripped and replaced with new fittings. Needs to be gassed and oiled.
Its a full job that is to make sure its correct

I would be wanting to inflict some serious pain on that nob-jockey to be honest mate! I was sorry to read about it all here, and ripping off a supposed mate from the forums shows the level of **** he is. I hope you manage to get the unit sorted and enjoy using it when you do pal

I'm pretty sure that burning on the 'leccy cover was done by me back in 2006 when I was stripping down my old prommy mach 1 for parts and wasn't too careful (the NL11F sat in the shed for 2 years then i gave it to pete)... apart from that I have no idea about the unit and dont want to stir up a ****storm but somethings definitely not right here.

I'm not sure, been talking to Socks and Tom, we think that mine was the one he wrecked when he had it powdered green. Either way I'm not impressed.
Hmm...this needs to get sorted tbh. Either through the authorities or some other way, we've seen that threats to ban him etc don't work as he just sent a ****** up unit back. This is one of the problems with the internet, there's no proper police for it sort of thing.
Some way or other everyone should be warned.

Im sorry if Im outa place BUT,
If a unit can be shipped from over seas like I know a couple of people have had done who are now using LN2 and the unit arrives in perfect shape there no excuse for it to arrive faulty if its been shipped internally.
Second;
Im no phase expert but from some of the build logs Ive seen on other forums that workmanship jsut looks shoddy and unsafe, if pete owns/works in a pub he'll know at least someone whos hvac qualified and should know the dangers involved in cowboy work.
Yet another nail in the coffin for him, time to get together and ban him from as many forums as possible.
