name='PP Mguire' said:By amount of games i meant like all of them. I play racing games mostly which most people want on console. I like them better on my PC cause they look better. As for fighting games and games like mario Kart 64 we plug them into my friends 50" plasma via my PC. Ever played 4 player Mario Kart 64 on a 50" with 5.1 surround on a PC? If you havent, you should!! Its hella fun!
EDIT: BTW you know that Logitech keyboard for the PS3? The one with the mousepad and shiz on it? Do they make something like that for the PC? Or can the PS3 one work on a PC?
name='jiffz' said:When I said variety, I didn't mean the amount of games - obviously the PC has much more games on it. I was actually referring to the way the games vary or differ from each other on consoles. Each game has a totally different feel, look and setup, whereas games aimed at PC gamers are usually FPS or strategy and all feel the same or similar.
Certain games are to be played on a console imo. Playing it on a big TV, sitting on a sofa and playing with mates is the best way to play them. Games such as worms, fighting games and sports games I think are best to be played in that kind of enviroment.
You can't say all games ported across to PC give the exact same experience as you do on a console. E.G Halo just doesn't feel the same on a PC for some reason, can't quite put my finger on it :eh:. Then games such as Forza, Guitar Hero and most movie based games are all made for console use.
Aye, im not Lazy! ahaha, jk jk. I know what your talking about. I just prefer better graphics!!But from most gamers perspective i.e casual players and novice players, this is not practical. With a console, you just pop in the game, loads straight in, pick up the controller and go. Games consoles are easier to setup, no fiddling with drivers, resolutions, settings etc. Console games are pretty straightworward - thats playability!
Scaled? Are you kidding? A 64 plays at what 320x240 or w/e the old TV res was? Im playing 1280x1024 and the 5.1 sounds fine to us. Zleda has a surround feature that works semi good. The 5.1 doesn't worked and it looks scaled as hell.
