Hello

A great piece of timing, I have just started looking to move up to broadband at home and this sounds like an excellent offer, and too good to miss out on! :worship:

From the IDNet homepage:

8Mb Broadband coming soon - nationwide by Spring 2006 :D

Nationwide? As in every exchange or just those enabled? Do you know if they are going the LLU or BT route for the 8meg?

My migration should be going through today. I'll check when I get home :) Simon has been great on the emails.

Would I be right in thinking that as and when the 8meg lines become available our accounts would automatically start to use them? we dont have to request it, or change account type?

That would be a question for IDNet i'm afraid - i really dont know much about the new rollout's.

Another Q for IDNet i'm afriad. Not sure how its going to work out :o

I would _think_ that the 8mb service will cost more than the 2mb service, but thats just a guess.

Just a quick note to praise IDNet again.

I'm now up and running with IDNet broadband, I couldn't get 2mB on my line so I'm on 1 mB. Simon sorted everything out for me, informing me at every stage what would be done when.

The line seems great so far.

Cheers.

Mick.

How long does it take on average from application to activation of the IDNet broadband for people who havent had broadband before?

When applying I will need to get the equipment aswell, I see they allow you to select a modem/router... are these good quality makes/models?

I believe its 7working days for a ADSL line activation

how ever if its a migration its 5working days (thats if you already have an ADSL enabled line)

ok :) how is the equipment sent, I presume it will be me installaing the kit?

Yes it will be you. Any equipment will be sent via corrier delivery - it depends who is sending it to you

In New South Wales - Haustralia we say

"Win the lottery and join the New South Wales Railways"

Here in the UK it must be join BT.

There are no hard and fast connection times - Nawt written in stone.
