ISDN is sooo rubbish. I remember back in the old dialup days i used to 'shotgun' my modems. You could hook 2 modems up on seperate telephone lines and combine their bandwidth.

I've now got my migration date - Simon at idnet was very helpful in dealing with BT who were insisting that I can only get 512k, despite that I'm already on 1mB.

BT ARE undisputedly BLOODY USELESS

They took 7days to put in my phone line (it already existed but they had to cancel some other service that the stupid old tenant didn't do ). Then after they installed the line on wednesday they didn't close the order till late friday so IDNET could only order the BB on monday.

Now of course the archaic BT system takes 5days to put through a BB order so no BB for me till monday

Where does it say what speed you're getting? In the letter with the password details?

Could you tell me whether it is compatible with Xbox live as this is what I would be using it for.

Well as long as you have a BB router that will support the XBox then I cannot see any reason why not mate. Especially seeing as this is uncapped and IDNET's pings are pretty awesome to all UK servers (and I've heard tell not too shabby for US either )

as for xbox live - arnt all connections compatible??

theres no restrictions on this connection so i dont see why not.

In the short time I have been using IDNET I have found the service superb.A problem i had on the first day was solved in mins and yesterday I found I was getting only 1 meg rang them and today bingo 2meg. I cant speak highly enough of them.

More people need to know about these guys. They are one of only a small number of broadband providers that actually care about their customers and reinstated my faith in the broadband market.
