Bought A Dyson!

Our old vacuum was getting old and I found a deal on a Dyson DC18 Slim for $295 + tax so we bought it yesterday. All I can say is "Wow!" It's so much better than our old Eureka, the ball in the middle makes maneuvering easy as hell. I think I might start vacuuming the house now lol. My parents anniversary is Thursday so as a present, I'm thinking of going at our house with the Dyson + Hoover carpet cleaner.

Oh baby!

Yea I've heard they're pretty sweet, expensive as hell too... <3

Our last couple at home have been Dysons.

Man those things suck. *shakes head at own joke, it was poor*

We had the first dyson for about 5 years, was easy to take apart and fix. Until the motor blew up....

Then we had a purple one with all kinds of filters and such, that things is a hoovering beast. Shame my sister hoovered up red wine the first week we had it, now when you turn it on it emanates a musty wine smell.

Definitely a good investment though.

HAHAHAHA nice dude. my ex gf was obsessed with her dyson. too bad she was psycho.

<3 Good replies guys!

The story about your dyson's motor blowing scares me :[

It better not blowup, this is way expensive.

It was well old by then and it didn't so much explode as fizz. Truth be told it was probably repairable, but we wanted a new one as we'd just got a German Sheppard Dog and the damn thing malted everywhere all the time.

yours will be fine for many years to come i'm sure. Try to learn how to take it apart and clean it. So this every few months and replace the filters when needed. If you look after it, it looks after you. The amount of dust it blows out, the noise and its life are all greatly improved with regular maintenance.

Dyson make quality vacuum cleaners period...That's all we use here. My eldest son gets mild bouts of Asthma and the dust filters on the Dyson's are second to none in my opinion.

@ v a d e R': Doing the cleaning for your parents on their anniversary is a very sweet thought mate and I'm sure they'll appreciate it immensely. :)

PV I wish I could rep you for writing out " v a d e R`." See the plan for their anniversary is this: They have tickets to this dinner show so they'll be gone all day tomorrow. I have school and lots of homework and a test so I probably can't get to their anniversary stuff till the weekend. However, I'm pretty sure that they won't mind if it's a couple days late. :]

<3 DYSON + OC3D!

Wooo

You make me laugh you helmet!

Well, I may as well say I too think Dysons rock, we've had various incarnations since they came out, although since I moved out I've just got some cheap a$$ one :p

Yea they make great hoovers but the whole 'never loses suction' thing isnt so true. We had two die on us and they wouldnt replace either so instead of another we've now got a Miele and it is ten times better. The handle has got loads of on the fly adjustment buttons and a button that makes a brush in the head start spinning to disturb dirt in the carpet :) Oh and on full blast you can hardly move it because of the suction haha

Parents bought a Dyson Stowaway (I think) man that thing sucks! (lol.. Pseudonym)

Very cool hoovers Dyson are.. Shame about the price, I think this was £140 on offer
