XSPC D5 Photon 240 - mounting.

Greetings all.

Does any1 know of a way to mount the XSPC D5 Photon 240 res/pump from the bottom verticaly ?

It comes with its own mounting system using a metal bracket attached to the lower and uper part of the res, unfortunatly i cant use this due to space limitations and the location of where the res and pump will need to go.
See: http://forum.overclock3d.net/showthread.php?t=58215
For more details of my loop plan.

I dont have much in the way of tools or materials to fashion my own mount so any mounting system would have to be simple.

Cheers for any help.

Hmm.

My other option which i know mounts from the botton is the Bitspower Single D5 Top Upgrade Kit 250, probably the plexi version so i can get some kind of lighting effect going. But i cant find it on sale any where in the UK >.<

It depends on what you have. If you have the res and pump combo, then you may be able to mount from the bottom because the fittings on this are on the side near the bottom (not sure if this would interfere with bottom mounting though, so ttl could still be completely accurate in his assessment), if you are taking res only, you definitely can't because, as ttl said, fittings go on the bottom.

If i end up getting the Photon, what ill likely have to do is remove the res mounting plate, leave the brackets on the res, use the plate as a template and create a longer L shaped one and use that instead. It would still held the same way but the bracket would go down and under the pump and mounted to the bottom of the case.

In theory it should work fine.

I can only laugh ....lol.

Sods law .... My 780 Classified has just given up on me. Its crashing even on stock clocks ..and even with extra voltage. (no nothing has changed software or hardwise from the the day befor)

Im now running my old 560ti SOC edition again for the time being till i get it RMA'd. (no more crahsing wiht the old card in)

Its aways the way ..it happens near Xmas, AND happens after i have already ordered all my water loop parts >.<

Well, things like these happen sometimes but don't worry EVGA have a very good RMA service.

Why did you post this in 3 different threads btw ?
