Mounting D5 Pump/Res Combo on side bracket of Phanteks Enthoo Elite

Hi all,

Having a little difficulty with this.

I would like to mount a 360mm Rad onto the side mounted rad bracket inside the case and mount The D5 combo beside it, however, there isn't an actual mounting point on the bracket for the pump/res and wondered if your kind people have any suggestions I could try?

Just to clarify I don't want to mod the case or be drilling into it etc.

Dimensions of the bracket are on pages 24 and 25 here -

Thanks,

has plenty of room next to it doesnt need to be mounted to rad fans. But trawetsluap most of those pre drilled slots holes for pump mounts rarely line up as we need. Unfortunatly you'll have to drill your own to make it as you want or buy the type of pump mount that case was designed for.

Or second thought mod a mount to fit the cases mounting holes.

Sure, but he mentioned that he didn't want to mod the case. I took that to mean that he doesn't want to mod, at all.

This is the only other thing you could do without modding the case or drilling a hole in it.

I agree I'd have second thought about drilling a 900$ case as well. But a couple small holes is hardly worth sweating imho.

Haha, just a little cautious modding my first expensive case.

A pump bracket did come with the D5 from EK so I can mount it on any 120mm fan mount. I'd just be a little apprehensive doing so because it would block airflow to or from the fan wouldn't it?

It depends on the layout you employ. Personally, on radiators, I tend to go intake, so the drop in pressure once past the fans wouldn't be a big problem for me, as i have exhaust fans set elsewhere to bring that back up anyway.

All it means is that pressure feeding into the fans, Or out from the fans drops a little.

Edit: off the bracket you are talking about is the uniholder, i know them. They are horrible to work with, but will do the job. They will also reduce the loss in pressure i talked about somewhat.

Would the EK-RES X3 Holder 60mm be strong enough to mount the D5 Combo with?

If so only concern would be noise from vibration....

I'll need to defer to others experience on that one, trawetSluaP. I suspect so, but i honestly have no idea.

As for noise, you can get around that by using some rubber washers, or fans that have those rubber corners, like the Noctua or the old corsair sp120s (before the led version).

Fans aren't and issue, I'm using bequiet! Silent Wings 3's.

I'm more concerned about noise from the pump vibration if I don't use the anti-vibration mount that came with it.

Yep. So am I.

The pump to fan attachments usually connect to those corners. But I'm not 100 % familiar with your mount, so not certain.
