Figured out the issue -___- this is a GPU cable and I bought it thinking it was a 8 pin power cable fail. but anyways is there anyway to mod these to work as a cpu power pin

So basically I got a needle heated it up until it turned orange and modded the plastic until it fit into the 8 Pin CPU header on my GD65

I would not mod the cable. Because you said you have an HX750 I am assuming you have the 8pin CPU and 20+4 pin already attached to the PSU. The way power is distributed through the connectors it may not work and could cause damage to the motherboard and CPU.

yeah, its got 8-pins, but the pinout is different and the connectors can be different as well.

some Corsair PSU used diff PSU plugs than the peripheral uses. hope it wasn't much.

swap ends for right terminaltion.

What PSU is it?

HX750 but I've figured out somethings in the last few minutes :/ It's a GPU 8 pin not a CPU power 8 pin, He posted it on ebay as a Cpu power 8 pin

thought you said you tested it in your mates gtx480 XD

Since cables exist to do just that I presume it's possible: http://www.scan.co.u...v-cable-adapter

In short you'll need pin-outs for the 2 connectors to get the correct placement for wires going between the connectors.

I have no experience doing this so can't provide any more detailed info than that.
