I have been locking for a 6990 with custom cooling since i have heard they run relly hot. i could not find one anywhere. so my first question why isn't there any?

secondly Is my only option watercooling?

I think it is King of Sand that has a 6990 on water cooling would be nice if you could tell me how much you played for every thing for the water cooling.

I think they don't make them with aftermarket coolers is because they don't sell enough and they would have to come up with a completly new cooler

So yes, watercooling is your only option i'm afraid, unless you do something like this: http://forum.overclock3d.net/index....graphics-cards-run-cooler-and-quieter-part-2/ but that'll only get half your card cooler

i talked to arctic cooling about this back in march they said they would have a solution 3-6 months after the release of the card (speaking of the 6990). So if this holds water it expect something by the end of the summer

Roughly $400. Let me gather all the things i bought and i will post back here with the links to all the parts as well as the price.

And i dont think there will be an aricooling solution that will cool the 6990. even under water with a dual rad i still hit 65c under a gaming load. So a AC air cooling solution wont o to much better than stock. and AC does a TERRIBLE job of cooling VRMs.
