Hello everyone, let me start off by saying I am completely new to PC building i have always bought/used a Laptop but my son wanted a Gaming PC for his Bday so i bought a used tower upon trying to upgrade the Graphix card i found out it was outdated so decided to build a new one .. So when my build included the 7700K (before i realize the 8700k was less then 4 weeks from launch), I was looking for advise on a cooler I was steered away from water coolers because of there potential to leak. I know anything can happen but is the Fail rate that high? I was recommended to use the Mugen 5 Scythe cooler (link below) Now that reviews are out for the 8700K some say it runs kinda hot. Sp whats everyones thoughts .. Will the Mugen5 be just fine for the 8700K is there a better option? Should i go water.. whats the best water cooler will low fail rate.. no budget just want the best cooler for the build.
Thank you everyone in advance for any advise!
