Haha now one can’t unsee it

In all of the years I have seen that logo it never ever crossed my mind :D

When my friend's Strix 3080 came we were ribbing another friend (making fun) because he had a Gigabyte. He says "F**k off, I don't want to be in your Anus gang any way" and that was when I realised how close it was :D

We now have a new saying. "Get your Strix out for the lads !"

Me. I made me lol. It was that or tears.

I've not gamed as much as I wanted because my eyes were much worse and I'd put off going to the opto. I did in the end.

Last time I gamed at home I tapped out after two hours because my flat was so hot I couldnt take it. As I leaned over to turn off the PC I noticed the top of the PC was so hot I could barely touch it. "That's strange" and thought no more about it. What I also noticed was the GPU ran nearly 20c hotter than review samples but again I just figured it was crap luck and maybe why it was B grade (poor bin).

Today I cleaned the rig. Last time was about 5 months ago when I got the GPU. Before I did so I wanted to see if I could see the Vardars spinning. Turns out you can't see anything and when you try the glass reflects so you still can't see anything. So, I grabbed my torch. Had a look and to my absolute horror I realised they were very still. Like, static.

So I took the rig down and took it apart. First I realised id fitted the front rad carrier backwards. So by now most of the rig had to be taken apart. Rebuilt it and removed the halos because they look stupid with RGB fans. The fans are now miles away from the glass.

Got to the top and pulled up the rad and immediately realised the fans were not plugged in. At all.

My rig has survived for 5 months passive. Like, just the EK pump. It's overclocked, and has never throttled or crashed or shut down.

The moral of this story? If you are buying an AIO? Get the EK. No poxy puny little pump could have taken that without burning out.

Which ironically? Was what made me pick it in the first place.

GPU now hits 47c in overclocked mode.

/Facepalm.

I think you can self maintain that EK too, which is just as well as with the amount of heat you've had pumping through it I suspect you've had some permeation with it. :D

It's awesomely ironic TBH. I chose the EK because....

You can see there what I mean. There is no way in heck that puny little pump could have coped with the wrath of the 12700K tbh.

That could have been an incredibly costly error on my part.

Very true!

I put an order in with Iceland for some chicken, Veg, Milk etc... and 1 of the items was missing so I emailed them and I think this is the funniest email I've ever gotten in my life...

I’m sorry to hear that the Grated Mild Cheddar was missing.

I appreciate that this must have been very disappointing for you, and rest assured, we will be investigating the matter to ensure that this doesn’t happen again.

:yelrotflmao:

lol the mystery of the missing grated mild cheddar begins !

I can just see some bloke dressed as Holmes with a pipe saying "Where's the cheddar you thieving fokker?"
