Website Changes - Need Your Help

Hi Guys,

I'm going to be making some changes to the layout of SysXtreme over the next few days (i've already made quite a few).

What i need you to do, is test SX in every browser you can get your hands on, and report any problems to me.

Cheers guys.

Something I just thought of... Can we get the link back to SX Uploads in the same little attachment area like we had with the old theme? That was a handy feature being able to click through to it rather than open a new tab and manually surf there.

Taa!

BTW we need to get SX Uploads migrated Jim... i want my bandwidth back!!! :)

Rgr that. I'm working on a sweet upload script as we speak. Wanna sort something out to stop the leechers :)

*Glares at Dave* lol

Is it going to run on the same subsystem as what we have now? Or when the new one is up should I just take mine down and just put up a bulletin stating that all files hosted on the current upload server will need to be re-uploaded to the new server?

If we can still merge the two LMK when you're ready and I'll zip up the most recent upload directory and send it to ya. :beerchug:

I'll be shifting all the data from the current upload server over to the new one, so all links will still be valid :)

The new system will require some kind of login in order to upload, but i'm hopig to integrate it into SX.

Hi

I use Flock as one of my browsers, I can use the website fine if i don't try to login.

When I enter my login details I get an error message:

In order to accept POST request originating from this domain, the admin must add this domain to the whitelist.

hope this helps

regards

succuba

EDIT: scrub that, it was my protection, once sorted it now works fine with the Flock browser, and something I failed to mention previously it also seems to work flawlessly with Netscape 8.0

Sorry for the duff info

regards

succuba

Very nice! This sounds like it will be a killer app :)

Keep up the good work my friend. C if u can't bother Simon again to figure out why I can't SSH in to the server.

RGR that.

Also guys, i've just turned on 'Content Compression' on our webserver for images.

This means that all images on the site are zipped before being sent to you, and unzipped automatically by your browser at the other end.

If anybody has problems with images not displaying (or updating) please let me know and i'll turn it off.

It should speed things up for us all, and especially our dialup friends :)
